How many amendments are there in Indian Constitution? As of August 2015 [update], there have been 100 amendments to the Constitution of India since it was first enacted in 1950. There are two types of amendments to the constitution which are governed by article 368.

Article 368 (1) of the Constitution of India grants constituent power to make formal amendments and empowers Parliament to amend the Constitution by way of addition, variation or repeal of any provision according to the procedure laid down therein, which is different from the procedure for ordinary legislation

How many schedules are there in the Indian constitution Now Constitution of India have 448 articles in 25 parts, 12 schedules, 5 appendices and 98 amendments.

What is meant by directive principles of state policy? These rights, defined in Part III of the Constitution, apply irrespective of race, place of birth, religion, caste, creed or gender. It has now been decided by the Competent Authority to conduct the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for promotion to Inspector Posts cadre for the vacancies for the period 01.01.2015 to 31.03.2016 i.e. for the year 2015-16 in-house on the old pattern using OMR method for evaluation. The said Examination is scheduled to be held on 15th and 16th October, 2016.
